man working at part time stay-at-home dad job at home

In terms of the remote jobs for stay at home dads that earn this kind of money, the options on this list should give you the answer. For example, when it comes to how much do stay-at-home dads make as a blogger, there are plenty of examples online with parents making six- or even seven-figures from their websites.

(You can see how to start a blog here if you’d like to do the same.)

How can a stay-at-home dad make money?

There are plenty of strategies that can help stay-at-home dads make money. These include:

  • Rely on any areas of expertise – It may sound obvious but if you’re transitioning into working as a stay-at-home dad from a more traditional working role, all that experience can definitely transition to a stay-at-home dad job too. Not only that, but it’s great for proving your expertise to attract clients and potential employers.
  • Highlight your qualifications (even if they’re not directly relevant) – Not all work from home jobs require you to have formal qualifications but they definitely don’t hurt. In particular, they’re great for helping you to stand out by showing you’ve committed to formal education in the past, even if the qualifications themselves aren’t directly relevant to the job you’re pursuing.
  • Know your availability – One of the points that makes this a list of the best stay-at-home dad jobs is that they all offer the flexibility you need to work around your kids’ schedules. At the same time, those schedules can vary a lot depending on things like how old they are. This is why it’s good to have at least a rough idea ahead of time on when you may be able to work, as this will help you narrow down your own list of options.
  • Don’t discount soft skills – As mentioned, you don’t need formal qualifications for many of these. However, soft skills like attention to detail or the ability to be organized enough to meet deadlines are going to be critical, so it can help to reflect on what you’re good at to see which of these jobs may suit you on this basis.
  • Build your online presence – Having an online presence to put yourself out there and to show off your previous work can really help, especially with many of these jobs being based online themselves. This can range from making sure your LinkedIn profile is up to date to launching your own site.
  • Schedule in work time – As a stay at home parent, it’s no surprise that schedules are key to getting through the day – and the same applies to your work. That is, when wondering how can a stay-at-home dad be successful, making sure you’re locking in your own time to get your work done is going to ensure that you’re able to meet all your deadlines.

Final thoughts on the best stay-at-home dad jobs

If you’re looking for how to make money to support your family, there are plenty of options that offer both the flexibility you need and the salary you deserve.

As more jobs shift to allowing for remote work, at home careers for men (and women!) are well and truly on the rise. This means that it’s more than possible now to find “daddy jobs” online that would probably have only been in-person a few years ago, meaning they’re now much more accessible to more people.

And whether or not you have formal qualifications or a professional background in a certain area, this won’t prevent you from finding any number of stay at home jobs for single dads or where your partner is working. Whatever your personal circumstances, the flexibility is certainly there now to give you more options than ever before.

Just maybe put the dad jokes on hold until after the interview.
